Undo

If you scanned the wrong thing, Undo takes it back. It's on the result message that appears at the top after a scan.

Who can: Owner, Admin, Member, Inventory manager Undoing a Case scan needs a role that manages cases.

What you can undo

  • Stock in, saved straight away. Undo removes the units that scan added. A whole box goes at once. It only works while they are still in stock.
  • Stock in, in the cart. Undo takes the row out of the cart. Once the row is saved or waiting to sync, it can't be undone this way. Before saving you can also just remove the row.
  • Stock out and Case. Undo puts the item back in stock. For a case scan it also removes the item from the case.
  • A repeat scan set to Warn shows Undo on its "Same as earlier scan" message.
  • Audit counting. Undo in the recent scans list removes one of your scans from the count. There is no time limit while the audit is still being counted. A manager can also remove other people's scans. This undo is on the audit's counting screen, and needs a role that can count (see Audits).

How long, and who

The Undo button sits on the result message, and that message disappears after a few seconds. In practice, tap Undo right after the scan.

Behind that, the app accepts an undo for 15 minutes after the scan, and only from the person who scanned the item. You can't undo someone else's scan.

What can't be undone

  • A saved scan that has since been used or moved. The message says "Already used or moved, so it can't be undone here".
  • A stock-out or case scan once its time is up, or one you didn't make yourself. The message says "Can't undo this one any more".
  • Anything while offline. The message says "Couldn't undo. Check your connection."
  • A stock-out whose serial was stocked in again in the meantime.
