Alert switches
Turning a kind off stops it for everyone at the site. All five are on by default.
| Switch | Alerts when |
|---|---|
| Low stock | A product drops below its low-stock amount. |
| Out of stock | A product's last unit is used or removed. |
| Expiring soon | Stock on the shelf is about to expire. |
| Expired stock | Stock on the shelf has passed its expiry date. |
| Recalls | A lot on the shelf matches an active recall. |
Each product's own low-stock amount decides its stock alerts. A product set to 0 never raises them.
Timing
| Setting | Options | Default |
|---|---|---|
| Expiring soon window | 7, 14, 30, 60 or 90 days. Greyed out while Expiring soon is off. | 30 days |
| Site time zone | Any time zone. The page shows the local time there now. It decides what counts as "today" for expiry. | Toronto (America/Toronto) |
| Daily expiry check | A time of day in the site's time zone. Greyed out while both expiry switches are off. | 09:00 |
Stock alerts are checked every few minutes. Expiry alerts are checked once a day, within a few minutes of the check time.
Channels
There is no channel setting on this page. Each person chooses in-app or email delivery in their own profile. See Alerts and notifications.
